What to Consider When Changing Suppliers for your Ink and Toner Cartridge Requirements.

Are you looking for simple, convenient ways to cut down on your overheads without compromising your business's quality and productivity? If so, one of the best decisions you can make is to choose an alternative cartridge supplier for your business, whether it be inkjet or laser printer toner cartridges. Alternative printer, fax and copier cartridge solutions as supplied by AAA Cartridge Recharge, simplify your printing needs so that your work is optimized while costs are streamlined. Essentially, it makes your company run more efficiently while making it a cost-effective operation that is primed for peak-performance.
What to Know Before Selecting Compatible, Generic or Remanufactured Printer Cartridges. Of course, before you go ahead and select the company that will be providing you with printer toner and ink cartridges, there are a few things you should know.
Firstly, do you know, or have been shown, what consumables to buy ? Have you previously changed cartridges or drums in the printer you are ordering consumables for ? If not, we strongly recommend asking about same or reading the appropriate section of the machine manual.
As with any service provider, you want to be sure that you are getting the best services at the lowest prices. This is especially important when the goal of business solutions is to lower costs while raising performance—if you don't do your homework while choosing a cartridge refill or replacement service provider, you could find yourself spending more money and suffering in output.
To make sure that doesn't happen, follow these simple rules for choosing your next toner and ink cartridge supplier ;
  • Be certain that the cartridges they provide are compatible with your current printers. It is essential to tell the supplier either the make & model of your machine or the make & part number you require.
This may seem like a no-brainer, but you want to be absolutely certain that their solutions are in line with your current software and hardware. You don't want to have to upgrade to new equipment after the fact as that will significantly decrease any savings you might obtain from using that particular company. You should be able to reach a representative for the company with ease—another good sign. Ask them to give you absolute confirmation about the compatibility, AND, do not be fooled by the cartridge type or number that comes initially with the printer. Many manufacturers only supply their lowest capacity cartridges initially with the machine, and, even that low capacity is only half full or known as a starter cartridge. Quite a few manufacturers also have long life or high yield cartridges for their machines, but neither they, or many shop owners, will go out of their way to tell you this. If a higher page capacity cartridge is available for your printer, AAA Cartridge Recharge will tell you about it, because it will save you money in the long run.
  • The cheapest is not necessarily the best.
True to form and the old saying you get what you pay for, the cheapest is not always the smartest buy. Ever bought $2.99 and $6.99 tomatoes' and you know what we mean. Don't be blinded, otherwise you are falling into the same trap as manufacturers sell printers ? Make then very cheap to the public. Only half fill the original supplied printer cartridges that come with the printer (also known as starter cartridges), then your first set of original manufacturer replacement toner or ink cartridges costs more than the printer did, wonderful, " got ya ". Printer cartridge prices will vary depending on overheads and even greed. Someone will always be the cheapest & someone will always be the most expensive. Balance the equation with commonsense, e.g. how long have they been in business, what is there warranty policy, how quick can I get it.
  • Make sure the company is knowledgeable.
How long they have been in business is an awesome indication, 10 years or more and you are on a winner. In that same vein of thinking, the customer service representative you speak with should know their stuff. It shouldn't seem like they are reading out of a manual or checking through Google searches to answer your questions. They should be well-informed and on point for all Brother, Canon, Epson, Fuji Xerox, HP, Kyocera, Oki, Samsung, as well as the various models of those manufacturers, e.g. Brother MFC DCP HL, Canon LBP Pixma, Fuji Xerox Phaser Docuprint, HP Laserjet Deskjet Officejet Photosmart, Samsung CLP CLX SCX ML, etc. These are the hallmark traits of a switched on, experienced and knowledgeable printer cartridge business.
  • Warranty Policy.
It is amazing how complacent consumers can be. Buying a manufacturer genuine product , one is inclined to automatically think, 12 month warranty ? WRONG !! It may surprise you to learn that even the Big Name manufactures have limitations on their warranties that are guaranteed to surprise. Brother, if they want the product back for testing & inspection can take up to 60+days (who is paying for that, who can wait that long ?) before issuing a credit, Canon will weigh products for usage, HP WILL NOT accept product that has expired. How long was it on the shelf at the shop or at your place ? HP will also not entertain a warranty claim for a refilled or non genuine product, and fair enough to, there are some absolutely rude, unfair & unrealistic consumers out there. HP will also check weight & expiry date for fair economic enjoyment. Kyocera be prepared to supply the page count the cartridge has done, full details of the fault & test pages of the fault. Oki ! Can you believe a 7 day warranty period ? Past that period you must have, machine serial number, copy count, installation dates, product serial numbers. Samsung genuine only have a three (3) month warranty. Xerox 90 days, and the list goes on & changes weekly. When you consider all of this, and a near half price compatible with six month warranty, it all sounds all that much easier & cost efficient to buy compatible.
  • Demand excellent shipping and delivery.
The last thing you need to do is run out of ink or toner cartridges right in the middle of your busy season or large project. That's how contracts and sales are lost. To ensure this won't happen the smart office consumables buyer will always keep a spare on hand (be ready for Murphy's Law) but also be certain that the company providing you with your cartridge solutions has excellent shipping connections. They should strive for at least next working day delivery. Essentially, they should bend over backwards to ensure that your solutions are in place the second you demand them. Conversely, when that low level warning starts flashing, don't second guess your machine, get a backup in transit as soon as possible.
Generally, we supply the North Island next working day. Locations in and around Auckland, order by 9.30am Monday-Friday & usually you will receive it that afternoon., worst scenario next working day. South Island, allow 1-3 working days, it all depends on time of order & your location. Rural deliveries nationally are of course a mixed bag once again depending on what you are use to.
  • Substantial savings compared to buying a manufacturer genuine cartridge.
The prices that you're receiving by changing your printer, fax or photocopier supplier company should also bring you substantial savings over the cost of just buying a new cartridge from the big name national advertisers who are not specialist ink and toner cartridge suppliers. If you're just saving pennies but get tied into a lengthy service contract—something that you might want to avoid—any drop in new cartridge price, (e.g. a stronger kiwi dollar $NZ), special offer or large sale could mean that you run the risk of spending more on cartridges. Allow room for some price fluctuation and be sure that even if your margins dip a bit, you'll still be saving money with your solutions company. Additionally, when buying a generic, compatible or remanufactured cartridge, as a general rule of thumb, you should expect to see savings of around 30%. This can increase up to 60%, it totally depends on the complexity of the cartridge and the manufacturer. Even some of the well known names like Stationery Warehouse, Cartridge World etc., do not necessarily have all the products, or the most competitive pricing, someone has to pay for all that TV advertising &/or franchise fees.
  • Demand high-quality premium inks and toners with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Finally, you should always be certain that your recharged cartridges are being filled with high-quality ink. You don't want to sacrifice any quality with your savings. The point is to make your company more efficient and cost-effective, not downscale your output in any shape, form or matter. Demand only the finest in ink refills. If not, you only risk your reputation, your performance, your brand image—you know, not much.
AAA cartridge Recharge provides a six month guarantee on all of its generic & compatible products.
